Shuu! I’ll start off by saying, wow, this course was a lot. It took a lot of pain and sweat to get to this day. During term George kept on saying that the work and the pressure will all make sense at the end of the day. And I’m happy to report that it when it all came together today, I looked back and it all made sense. All the effort, the pain and the hundred submissions and practical lessons that went into this thing culminated in our showcases, installations and exhibitions today. It was great to see that after all the grilling we got from George we finally got to this point. I mean, it’s not over yet as we still have to compile the documentation and the portfolio but this was no mean feat, it’s something worth celebrating. I am proud of myself and my group for making it to this point even with all the mini fights and disagreements. Surviving this course and putting this project together was not easy but we pulled through and I’m proud of what we brought forward. I’m going to put up blogs with all the info on the processes that we went through to put our exhibition together as well as pictures. Now I just wanted to blog about this day while it was fresh in my mind.
I really enjoyed myself today. All our efforts as a class really showed in all our respective projects. A job well done guys!!! We really need to clap for ourselves. Today was a great success in my opinion. Again, I will post pictures of the exhibitions and showcases that I went through and enjoyed, but overall it was amazing, I had a blast! Thank you to George for putting this together and for structuring this course the way it is. It is indeed one of a kind. I have to say it was hard to understand the way the course is set up in the beginning and there were a lot of frustrations along the way up until the end – but now that we are here I can comfortably say it was a really fun roller-coaster. I could not have learnt these skills and lessons with any other course, so for that I am really thankful. This is testament to the fact that the most challenging courses and those that get you out of your comfort zone are the ones that teach you the most valuable lessons. I’ve never had such a fun exam and the Polaroid images of me show you how I felt today and just how much fun I had.
